The production of ammonia is one of the largest consumers of natural gas in the world. At 160,000,000 metric tons of annual production the natural gas required is between 5-6% of the total natural gas produced in the world. The US is the only market where significant volumes of ammonia are consumed in agriculture. The balance of the world consumes urea. Urea has more desirable handling characteristics than ammonia. 


Fertilizer is dense and relatively inexpensive. The further from the point of manufacturing the higher the selling cost. BayoTech's distributed production allows for production at the point of consumption reducing or eliminating the cost of transport.  The improvement in efficiency of producing hydrogen reduces the cost of goods further allowing BayoTech's systems to be cost competitive whereever they are located.
